Now that your doctor has referred you to us, it is important that we prepare for your appointment. For an initial consultation appointment, you can expect to be in our office for approximately one hour. We ask that you come early to your first appointment to complete the necessary paperwork. This is standard paperwork for release of medical records, insurance verification, HIPPA compliance, and most importantly your past medical history. You will then be taken to the back office where a medical assistant will obtain your vitals and review your history. Afterwards, a physician will meet with you one-on-one, review your records, perform an exam, and make recommendations regarding treatment.
If you are able to complete the paperwork before your appointment day please bring that with you. Along with the paperwork, please bring all relevant medical records as this will assist the physician to formulate a plan of care for you. Helpful medical records include previous physician visits for the current condition, up-to- date medication list, imaging such as x-rays and MRIs, and any treatment provided for your condition (medication, physical therapy, chiropractor, massage, etc.).
Absolutely not. At Advanced Sports & Spine, you will always see the same provider.
We will make every effort for you to be seen as soon as possible since we do not want you to be in pain. Sometimes we are able to schedule appointments as early as the next day depending on appointment availability, physician availability, and insurance verification.
If you have insurance, we will be happy to do the billing for you. Insurance co-pays are due on the day of your visit. If you have questions regarding your co-pay amount please contact your insurance provider. We currently accept Medicare, NC Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Tricare, Conventry Healthcare, CIGNA, Humana, United Health Care, and Worker’s Comp. If you do not see your insurance provider listed, please call our office to inquire about coverage.
