Dr. Usman Ahmad

Board Certified Physiatrist

Dr. Ahmad is a board-certified physiatrist with subspecialty training in interventional sports and spine medicine.

Dr. Ahmad completed his residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal medicine and interventional pain management at the Center for Advanced Pain Management and Rehabilitation in New Jersey.

Dr. Ahmad is highly trained in using both fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided spine and joint injections. He is also trained in providing appropriate diagnostic tests to assist in the healing process of his patients. Using non-surgical, non-opiate treatment methods, his holistic approach helps patients heal.

Dr. Ahmad has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented his research at numerous conferences nationwide. He is a member of the American Medical Association, North Carolina Medical Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and International Spine Society.

Dr. Ahmad moved to the Charlotte area with his family because he loved the great weather and family-friendly atmosphere. He strives to treat his patients like members of his own family, and his comprehensive training in pain management allows him to do that.
